2022 The Yearbook Revisited. Solo show at Upstairs Gallery, Arlington, TX. The Yearbook Revisited series recalls student life of the mid-20th century as viewed through a 21st century lens. Themes of hopes, dreams, regret, popularity, angst and coming of age appear in this collection of paintings. Cultural markers like big hair and Classic Coke bottles may elicit a pleasant wave of nostalgia for those who lived it, but may also unearth long-buried stories of youth—some ready to share, others better left untold. For those who did not live it, The Yearbook Revisited offers a glimpse into the social climate experienced by an earlier generation.
