You know the guy--out for the stories and the best student newspaper he could muster out of his reporters. Flipping through old yearbooks can unearth a flood of faded memories. Thoughts of popularity, talent, athleticism, youthful optimism and angst, and of course, parties. The memories are often idealized, incomplete and fragmented, hazily colored by the intervening years, whether five or fifty. From my ongoing yearbooks series.
