Every Wednesday, March 12-April 16, 10 am to 12 pm. CST
Where:
At my Fort Worth, TX, studio near Magnolia and 8th Avenue. I'll send directions once I receive your registration.
Supplies:
- Strathmore 300 Series Wired Sketch Paper Pad, 3.5 x 5” Info here.
- Black pen (gel pen, felt tip or ball point) You probably already have something you can use.
- Three Tombow grayscale dual tip brush markers, N15 (dark), N65 (medium gray), and N89)light gray. They are available singly at Michael's on Carroll St. in Fort Worth (not online). If you are unable to find them singly at a Michael's near you, you will need to purchase the set of 10. Michael's has the set of 10, but they are cheaper at Target.com and Amazon.com.

Framework: Six 2-hour classes, spaced one week apart
I. Your Two Brains
We’ll take a baseline to gauge your progress at the end. Learn how to turn your left brain off and your right brain on.
II. Go Blind
Warm up your right brain and begin to actually observe what you are seeing.
III. Topsy-Turvy and Negative
Learn to stop naming objects and draw the nameless.
IV. Introducing Composition and Complexity
Learn how everything is connected, and how to size your drawing.
V. Values. Squint and Simplify.
Learn how to add depth to your drawings.
VI. Be Expressive
Use simple tools to be more expressive with your drawings. Congratulate yourself for your progress.
