Born in 1933, this American singer, guitarist and songwriter is one of the outstanding musical artists from the outlaw country music scene that grew out of a reaction to the constraints of the Nashville sound. After moving to Austin where the music establishment did not prevail, he poured his heart into the kind of music only the Texas Troubadour could create.
