Travel Sketching: Destination Hometown Intro
Sketching our travels helps us engage more deeply with our surroundings and gel our memories into place. It teaches us to slow down and really see what we are experiencing. Unlike photographs that include everything within their frames, sketching is selective. We choose what to draw, thus we choose what to remember. The sketchbook becomes an art form all its own, a fresh, engaging way to share with family and friends, and a legacy for generations to come.
In this in-person four-week workshop, we'll tour the city of Fort Worth and document our experiences in a memory-capturing visual journal. We will sketch from life and from photos. The skills you learn will open to door to not just travel sketching, but other kinds of visual journals as well.
