Starting early in the morning to hike to The Window was a good plan--it's a two and a half-hour hike with a 900-foot rise in elevation, culminating in a breathtaking panoramic view--worth every drop of sweat and every creak of the knee. In my painting, Window at Big Bend, abstract, angular shapes and scrapes in heightened colors capture the essence, the soul of this place. Although it's difficult to capture the awe of being there, I'm happy to have tried.
The original painting has sold, but I'm making it available as a museum quality print. See picture of mat and frame suggestion.
